- DEC Rep – Jennifer Morehouse
– new to the role. Happy to help wherever needed.
– our concerns remain population/enrolment growth (especially with so many new houses and apartments going up) and the need represented by the community
– some slight re-zoning might be necessary at some point to share students back to GNMES - PSSC roles and responsibilities, review of PSSC Handbook
– Dave to send out handbook as a reminder
– all returning members to PSSC so far
– reminder of three-year term
– goal of at least 6 members
– need to discuss role of chair - Confidentiality review
– while the meetings are open, there is an expectation of professionalism and confidentiality from members - PSSC Chair and Vice Chair
– need to fill these roles as previous chair is no longer able to be on the committee
- Principal’s report:
Staffing
– about 70 staff
– pilot role: ESS Admin Assistant (shared between resource, guidance, alt-learning, EAL)
– allotted 4 additional EAs just last week. Will begin later in the month.
- concerned new formula for assigning EAs did not accurately capture the needs of the school

- Started with 24 classes and now up to 25 (added a second grade two that began today)
- 391 student enrolment
